The anecdote: The farmer to the farmhand.
The farmer says to the farmhand: ‘Great, a week of fine weather, we can make hay.
Farmhand to farmer: “But it might rain tomorrow.”
Farmer: I don’t think so; the weather forecast is good too.
Farmhand, agitated: “If you don’t say straight away that it might rain tomorrow, will I run away from you?”
Farmer: “Yes, if you think it might rain tomorrow, then that’s probably how it’ll be.”
Farmhand: “So then we can’t mow — got it? I just don’t want to! ????

→ The umbrella organisation, Haflinger-Pentagon, Sàrl-GmbH, claims, on behalf of the implementation of the Animal/Horse Breeding Ordinance, the establishment of a specialist commission, which is to be appointed by a committee representative to review the application of the Animal– NEW: the Horse Breeding Ordinance – and the modalities of its application, for which it is granted authority.
→ The facts: On 29 October 2025, the Federal Office for Agriculture (BLW) will bring the completely revised Animal Breeding Ordinance into force on 1 January 2026.
→ From the Federal Council — no, not from the relevant legislative department, but from the person responsible for the Animal Breeding Division acting on behalf of the entire Federal Council, Mr Christian Stricker, with his all-powerful entourage.
→ WHAT is going wrong?
